About this policy
I’m Anastasia Abuya, the operator of this professional portfolio and learning-resource website. This policy explains how information is handled on anastasiaabuya.com. The website is operated from Florida, United States.
You can browse the site and download its resources without creating an account. The site has no contact forms, payment facilities, or newsletter registration. Professional conversations and privacy requests take place through my LinkedIn profile.
Information and how it is used
- Browsing and technical information. Loading a page involves processing connection information, including your IP address and browser request. Analytics can include browser and device information, pages visited, referral information, visit times, session identifiers, and performance or error information.
- Interactions with the site. Microsoft Clarity can capture clicks, scrolling, pointer movements, and how page content appears and changes. These interactions help show how visitors navigate and use the site.
- Information you choose to share. If you contact me on LinkedIn, I receive the message and the profile information available to me there. Please share only what is needed for the conversation.
I use this information to provide the website and resources, understand which content is useful, improve navigation and usability, investigate technical problems, and respond to messages or privacy requests. Information may also be used or disclosed where necessary to meet legal obligations or protect the site and people using it.
The bookshelf’s search and filters operate in your browser. They do not submit a separate search request to a website database, although interactions with these controls may be observed by Clarity.
Microsoft Clarity and cookies
This site uses Microsoft Clarity for behavioral analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings. Heatmaps summarize activity across a page; session recordings reconstruct a visitor’s interactions with the website. They are not camera or microphone recordings.
Clarity loads automatically when you visit. There is currently no on-site consent banner or analytics switch. Cookie use and available features depend on Microsoft’s regional rules, browser settings, and applicable consent signals. Limited collection can occur without cookies.
Clarity may use first-party cookies, such as _clck to recognize a browser and _clsk to connect page views into a session, as well as Microsoft third-party cookies. Some Microsoft identifiers can recognize a browser across websites. See Microsoft’s cookie descriptions and Clarity’s data collection details.
Clarity sends usage information to Microsoft. I can view analytics in Clarity, and Microsoft also processes information under its own terms, including for its product improvement and advertising purposes as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. This website does not display advertisements or have a separate Microsoft Advertising integration.
How long information is kept
Microsoft documents the following retention periods for information available in Clarity:
- Ordinary session recordings
- 30 days.
- Heatmaps and aggregate click data
- 9 months.
- Sessions labeled or saved as favorites
- 9 months.
Microsoft states that this Clarity data, including backups, is deleted after its retention period. See its data retention documentation. These periods do not describe every type of information Microsoft processes under its own privacy statement.
I keep correspondence as needed to respond, maintain the relevant professional relationship, or meet applicable legal obligations. Messages held by LinkedIn are also subject to LinkedIn’s policies and account controls.
Your privacy choices
- Browser settings. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. This can limit tracking but does not necessarily stop cookie-free analytics requests. Clearing cookies may also remove saved opt-out preferences.
- Microsoft’s opt-out route. Microsoft directs visitors to the Digital Advertising Alliance’s choices tool: select Microsoft to opt out of Clarity telemetry. Follow the tool’s instructions for the browser and device you use.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC). Microsoft states that Clarity supports GPC. You can enable this signal in a supported browser or extension.
- Do Not Track (DNT). Clarity does not currently respond to this browser signal. The site has no separate DNT handling.
The Microsoft choices above are described in Clarity’s privacy FAQ. They are provided by Microsoft or your browser; this site does not offer its own analytics preference control.
Privacy questions and requests
Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or limit particular uses. The availability of a right depends on the information and processing involved.
To ask a question or make a request, contact Anastasia Abuya on LinkedIn and identify your message as a privacy request. LinkedIn may require you to sign in. Describe your request and the relevant interaction; do not send identity documents or sensitive information in an initial message.
I may need enough information to verify a request and identify the information involved. Analytics identifiers may not let me identify your visit, and Clarity does not provide a routine way to delete just one visitor’s recordings. I will explain any applicable limitations when responding. For information Microsoft processes independently, its privacy statement explains how to contact Microsoft and exercise available choices.
LinkedIn and other websites
Links to LinkedIn and other sources take you to independently operated websites. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own policies. A link does not give this site control over those services.
The LinkedIn links here are ordinary links, rather than embedded social widgets. If you follow one or send a message there, review the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
Security and international processing
Website delivery and analytics involve service providers processing technical information. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where the relevant providers operate. Privacy protections can differ by country. Microsoft’s privacy statement describes its storage locations and international-transfer arrangements; those arrangements are Microsoft’s and are not a certification of this website.
Children’s privacy
This professional website is intended for adults and is not directed to people under 18. It does not ask children to provide personal information. If you believe a child has shared personal information in connection with this site, please raise the concern through the privacy contact above.
Updates to this policy
This policy will be updated as the website or its information practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be described on this page, with additional notice where required by applicable law.
This notice explains the site’s practices; reading it or continuing to browse does not itself provide consent where consent is required. For questions about this policy, get in touch on LinkedIn.
